These songs were written when I was a sophomore in high school in a very rural Minnesota area. A friend of mine Tammy Leishman wrote the lyrics to it to The Lonely Road. My Dad got a job in Texas so the family picked up and moved to Texas in 1980.

I then recorded it in 1982 at Stephen Arnold Studios when they were just getting started. With $60.00 in my pocket, I paid for the recording with my own money.

Warning - I was quite young singing this and the two backup singers were off-key or I might have been me off key, it's been so long since I recorded it.

It was recorded on a reel-to-reel tape - and it was starting to decay, so I sent it to Penguin Records in LA and they transferred the music into digital form. You'll hear sounds of the decay in both tracks,
